Examine Your Wedding Limo Contract For These 4 Things

Blog

If you are getting married soon, and are planning on using a limo for transportation through a place like Camelot Specialty Limos, you need to make sure that you get a written contract that covers the agreement that you made with the limo company. Here are four things that you need to make sure that your written limo contract for your wedding includes.

#1 Specific Vehicle You Are Renting

Limo companies have very large fleets of vehicles. They have very small limos and very large limos. They have classic stretch limos and hummer-style limos. They have limos in black, white and sometimes more funky and fun colors, like pink.

When renting a limo for your wedding, you are most likely trying to create a very specific look and feel. For example, if you are getting married inside of classy hotel, you may want a stretch black limo. Or, if you are getting married out at the local park and serving bbq food, maybe you want a hummer limo.

In order to ensure that you get the limo that fits the feel of your wedding, you need to make sure that your limo contract clearly states the make, model and year of the particular limo that you are renting. The contract should also clearly state the carrying capacity of the limo as well, just to double-check that you have the right one rented.  This is the best way to ensure that you get what you want on your wedding day.

#2 Deposit Fee

Many limo companies require that you put down a deposit when you make a reservation. Your contract should clearly state when your deposit is due, how much of the total price you have to pay for with your deposit and what form of payments are accepted.

In addition, your contract should clearly state the penalty for canceling your reservation and if you will get your deposit back. For example, if you cancel your reservation six months before your wedding date, you should be able to get  your deposit back but if you cancel six days before your wedding date, you may have to forfeit your deposit.

#3 Payment & Fees

Next, your contract should clearly state exactly what you are paying for. It should break down the fees and not just list a grand total. For example, if you are renting a larger limo for five hours with beverage service, your contract should list the fee per hour of your rental, the fee for beverage service, and any other applicable fees. You should be able to look at your limo contract and have a clear idea of exactly what you are paying for.

#4 Additional Fees

Finally, make sure that your limo contract clearly states any additional fees that you may face. For example, if you exceed the time frame that you paid for your limo, it should state how much additional you will be charged per-hour for the limo rent. Or, if you leave the limo a big mess, it should clearly state what the cleaning fee is. You should not be charged any additional fees after you return your limo that were not clearly stated in the limo contract.
